Oak Harbor Fire Department (OHFD) provides fire protection, basic rescue, and first responder medical services to the City of Oak Harbor, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, from Fire Station 81.

OHFD responds to approximately 1,600 incidents each year ranging from house fires and heart attacks to vehicle accidents and hazardous conditions. Our firefighters are well-trained and dedicated to providing the best possible emergency services to City of Oak Harbor citizens and visitors. We welcome you to the fire station. From the Firehouse to Your House

OHFD serves the City of Oak Harbor located on Whidbey Island in Island County, Washington State. OHFD protects the 9.7 square mile City (including several miles of shoreline) and an estimated population of 24,700.

In addition, OHFD maintains mutual and automatic aid contracts with Island County Fire Districts Number 2 (North Whidbey) and Number 5 (Central Whidbey), WhidbeyHealth, and the Naval Air Station-Whidbey Island (NAS-WI) Federal Fire Department.

Protection Class Rating

The City of Oak Harbor proudly carries a protection class rating of 4 from the Washington Survey and Ration Bureau which enables residents and businesses to enjoy low property insurance premiums.
