Add these items to your car before you travel in the winter:
- Cellphone charger
- Full tank of gas
- Snow shovel, ice scraper
- Water and snacks
- Warm clothes, boots, and gloves

Dress for Cold Weather

Chilly Weather
- One to two layers of clothing - the outer layer is to keep wind and rain out
- One long layer of pants
- Warm Shoes (water proof is preferred)
Cold Weather
- Two to three layers of clothing - the outer layer is to keep wind and wet snow out
- Warm hat
- Gloves
- One to two layers of pants
- Boots (water proof is preferred)
Extreme Cold
- Three or more layers with one layer providing insulation - the outer layer is to keep out wind
- Warm hat
- Gloves
- Two or more layers of pants
- Face mask/covering
- Boots (water proof is preferred)
