Mayor Ronnie Wright has directed the City flags at City facilities be lowered to half-staff on Thursday, February 29, through Friday, March 1, in honor of Lance Corporal Donovan Davis, a young marine, who died in the line of duty.
Community members, veterans, and active duty service members are encouraged to participate in the procession as it travels through Oak Harbor to pay respect and show gratitude for Donovan's service to our country.
The City also submitted a request to the state to ask that the U.S. flags be lowered across Washington, too.
