Christmas Tree Collection

The City provides FREE Christmas tree collection to customers who subscribe to monthly yard waste collection services. You can subscribe by calling 360-279-4530. 

The Public Works Solid Waste Division will collect Christmas trees at the curb on regular collection days during the first week of January and the first week of February. 

Requirements for Tree Collection

  • All decorations must be removed, including ornaments and tinsel. 
  • Cannot be flocked. Flocked trees will not be accepted. 
  • Must be placed next to or inside of the yard waste cart for curbside collection. 

Reuse

Reusing materials for wrapping gifts during the holiday season can reduce waste. Items for reuse include:

  • Gift Bags
  • Cards can be turned into holiday gift tags
  • Ribbons, bows, and string
