The City received questions about the Pro statements for the Fire Levy Propositions 1 and 2. City Council approved Resolution 22-17 at the July 12, 2022 City Council Meeting. The resolution approved the language for the ballot title and explanatory statement. Per RCW 42.17A.555, the Council and City staff do not write or approve the subsequent statements in support (Pro) or against (Con) the propositions.
Island County Elections confirmed that they received pro statements for the City Propositions from the Advocacy Committee Members and published them. The names of these individuals have been added to the Online Voter’s Guide for Island County.
