Economic Development Coordinator Steve McCaslin presented an update on the economic development activities the City is working on internally and externally to achieve City objectives. Followed by a discussion with the Council.
DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
Flood Damage Prevention Code Amendment
Senior Planner Dennis Lefevre presented the objective of incorporating the mandatory and recommended regulatory changes at the state (WDOE) and federal levels (FEMA). The code has not been updated since 2017. The next steps include a public hearing in February, with adoption planned for April. Followed by a discussion with the Council.
PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE
Public Works Director Steve Schuller and City Engineer Alex Warner presented an update on the department’s projects. Followed by a discussion with the Council
ADMINISTRATOR REPORT
City Administrator Blaine Oborn provided the monthly report.
CITY COUNCIL
Mayor Pro Tempore Hizon requested an update or report from the City’s legislative lobbyist at a future meeting.
