[ARCHIVED] Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NASWI) Postcard Regarding PFAS

Properties in the City of Oak Harbor received a postcard from the Department of Navy and Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NASWI) regarding off-base drinking water sampling for PFAS near NASWI. The postcards were sent to properties that require testing because they have well water and, those that receive their drinking water from the City of Oak Harbor and do not require water sampling. 

Who is Impacted

  • Only properties with well water are included in the sampling. 
  • City of Oak Harbor Utility Customers will not be participating in this process because it is only for properties that have well water on their property.
